Job Summary: We are searching for Electrical Engineer for our Engineering Department in our Lenexa office. This position is full-time Monday through Friday from 7:45 am until 4:30 pm in our Lenexa location.
Applicants must have an Electrical Engineering degree. This position will assist with design schematics and wire diagrams for control panels to our wastewater pumping systems and treatment plants which are designed and manufactured in our Lenexa facility.

The ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER is responsible for electrical and control system design, developing wiring diagrams, electrical component selection, panel layouts, component programming and various documentation for testing, assembly and record maintenance.
Specific duties include:

• Creating and updating bills of material.
• Develop new and existing product designs and supporting manufacturing documents.
• Select and program PLC s, HMI s and other programmable relays.
• Physical testing of prototypes.
• Electrical calculations and component selection.
• Interpret and apply electrical codes.
• Update O&M manuals, design manuals, engineering specifications, and technical documents.
• Improve existing electrical controls and components.
• Support and assist other departments with costing, specifications, drawings, applications, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent required
• Technical and electrical ability
• 3D Modeling, AutoCAD 2D, and CFD experience preferred
• Experience working with and making electrical control schematics and panel layouts.
• Proficient with the latest release of AutoCAD, electrical CAD, PLC software.
• Experience in electrical control or power distribution design
• Ability to read and create electrical control drawings/symbols/instruction.
• Must have good communication skills, technically strong, able to meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Detail oriented and accuracy is a priority.
