POSITION SUMMARY

Our drivers are crucial to the safe and efficient driving and delivery of various products (meals, equipment, dry goods, supplies, etc.) to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Using a positive, friendly attitude, our drivers build relationships with each customer and become familiar with their operations to meet needs and expectations.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS

  • All employees shall meet Compliance/Privacy Regulations and attend at a minimum one (1) hour of Compliance/Privacy educational training annually, as required by Independent Living Systems.
  • All employees shall meet Risk Management Regulations, and attend at the minimum one (1) hour of Risk Management education and training within the first thirty (30) days of employment and as required by law or Independent Living Systems; and, for that non-physician in clinical or direct care delivery services, annually thereafter.
  • All employees if duly licensed in the State of employment, and said license is part of the requirement of their position with Independent Living Systems, shall maintain in good standing and current state licensure.
  • All employees are required to maintain confidentiality, protect privacy, comply with PHI regulations, and report violations.

POSITION RESPONSIBLITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Pickup and deliver packages to/from customer locations in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of packages.
  • Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our members.
  • Operates the truck on schedule and within the designated route.
  • Operates vehicle in accordance with Independent Living System Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks and notifies supervisor of any observations.
  • Immediately reports all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Supervisor.
  • Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by ILS Management or Supervisor.
  • Works closely with Supervisor to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
  • Notifies Supervisor immediately of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage.
  • Notifies Supervisor of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, road closures, etc.
  • Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation and check out process.
  • Performs all duties as scheduled by Supervisor and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
  • Shows respect to company and customer property.

TRAVEL

This position requires up to 100% travel. Frequently travel is the local area.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

This position may require work in excess of 40 hours per week and will require some evening and weekend work hours. Must be willing to travel independently with occasional overnight travel.
