We are offering a position for a hard working, driven individual that is either a currently skilled professional dog trainer or would like to grow and learn to become a dog trainer. This individual would need to be able to take the initiative to build out their training career their way with their style yet be a part of a bigger team that leaves a even bigger impact on the community in which we live. This professional will initially follow the guide we have set forth but can customize their training interested to cater to their passions, skills, and style. Flexible hours and ability to self manage time and workload. The Owner is a professional dog trainer, the General Manager is a veterinary technologist, and we have a Head Trainer on staff currently. They will assist you where needed and will create a shared vision with you for how to best serve the community of dogs and their owners needing your help. Trainer must have advanced skills in “Balanced” dog training with the use of e collar technology tools for training support. Will provide on site training for this driven individual.
This position could befor a person ready to become a full time dog trainer but lacks some technical knowledge. Drive, Attitude, and Professionalism is the main requirement.

JOB TITLE: Head Dog Trainer & Training Manager
JOB PAY RANGE: Starting $35,000 - $85,000 DOE
REPORTS TO: General Manager

Facility:
1. You will utilize a brand new 5,000 sq ft expansion space with a brand new state of the art training wing custom designed to serve dogs.
2. We have state of the art cleaning and sanitization protocols. All air is sanitized every 10 min and floor drains installed for washing/sanitizing kennels daily.
3. Large outdoor areas with 7 ft 9 gauge chain link fencing for secure work areas
4. Artificial turf and grass and rock pens for your flexibility of use
5. Separate training entrance with 24 hr access
6. Privacy suites with guillotine doors and indoor outdoor runs
7. Fear free kennels certified kennels
Services & Pricing:
1. Training Stays - 3,4,6,8 week, pricing is $625 - $766 week
2. 1 hr training Sessions - pricing is $120-$140/hr
3. Day Training - pricing is $75/day
4. Daycare Enrichment - pricing is $45 day

Compensation - Compensation for this position is based on the structure the individual is looking for. Experience also will be a factor to discuss. Salary and or commission wages will get you to the advertised wage depending on experience and depending on performance. Commissions above 30% is to be expected

Duties and Responsibilities of a Dog Trainer.
✔ Leadership: Fulfills the Fetchers mission and values by working in a culture of teamwork and professional excellence to serve customers, identify and resolve issues, and execute the plan of care for that day. Works with a positive attitude and efficient work pace during the shift. Mitigates any negativity from the work environment.
✔ Taking phone calls on training inquiries, signing up customers for yourself and others
✔ Checks in dogs, speaks with owners on goals, creates training plan
✔ Trains dogs at least 5 days/week multiple sessions daily
✔ Manages capacity and schedule of training programs
✔ Full communication with the owner from drop off to pickup with status updates
✔Creates a graduation video showing progress and obedience sent to owner before pickup.
✔Provide more sessions on dogs as needed that need more help to try to meet behavioral goals by end of stay
✔ Able to conduct professional communication with confused or upset clients
✔ Able to guide/lead team in training tasks and operational flow in your training area
✔ Take lead if an emergency presents itself
✔ Comes in after hours and on off days to help other team members
✔ Identifies and implements solutions to any problem that arises
✔Educates dog handlers on proper pack play and handling techniques
✔Responds promptly to other team members
✔Identifies Medical issues with dogs and consults with General Manager promptly, then owners.
Qualifications/Experience:
✔ Ideally has been training dogs for 8+ months with positive reviews to show success
✔ Can demonstrate high level obedience with own dog
✔ Ideally has developed own training style that supports “Balanced” dog training
✔Ideally able to utilize the e collar correctly to help aid in your dog handling skills
✔ Frequently seeks better styles and methods in effort to continually improve self and the training programs
✔ Is able to provide basic grooming, feeding, and medication administration.
✔ Able to perform 1 hr training sessions virtual and in person
✔Seeks out tasks by taking the initiative
✔Presents self as clean, professional, and positive
✔Dog listens to basic commands of come, down, kennel, and no easily or with 1 correction, when pushed further using 3D's failures are able to be identified, corrected, and replicated where the dog no longer fails.
✔Owners are able to understand what they need to learn and value your support
✔ Is able to provide some mentorship to young trainers on occasion
