We are seeking a Documentation and Training Specialist for Provider Relations to be responsible for the department documentation repository, quality assurance reviews, and serve as the primary trainer for Provider Relations. This role is the subject matter expert for the department, collaborating with other areas of the organization to implement projects and process changes while keeping in mind system functionality and possible impacts.

The pay range for this position for Western Washington varies between $46,575.00 – $62,963.00, and for Eastern Washington varies between $42,930.00 - $58,035.00. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Delta Dental of Washington and Arcora Foundation, intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Own the Provider Relations documentation process; create, maintain, optimize, and standardize processes and process documentation, maintain the document repository, and collaboratively work with others to achieve accurate policy and process documentation.
  • Participate in and lead process improvement activities that support policy and process documentation.
  • Manage provider forms/templates using DocuSign.
  • Work closely with department leadership on training, communication, and documentation needs resulting from projects.
  • Develop, implement, review, and update comprehensive training plans to ensure new and existing Provider Relations staff have the knowledge and tools to consistently perform their roles.
  • Prepare, plan, and deliver employee training and ensure the effectiveness of training opportunities and materials through audits.
  • Work with staff and leadership to encourage and coach to success; provide recommendations and support on employee development and training.
  • Implement effective metrics and processes to ensure data integrity and employee development.
  • Perform, report, and share weekly quality assurance scores/summary to individuals and managers.

  • Two years of related experience in technical writing, process documentation, training, and/or adult learning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Ability to interpret complicated processes into easy-to-follow documentation required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Excellent presentation/facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, able to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change.
  • Strong passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to build working relationships with all levels of the organization and across business units.
  • Ability to be flexible, innovative, and work in an ambiguous environment.
  • Knowledge of and interest in using computer technologies to improve overall efficiencies.
