This is a great opportunity for a driven Diesel Mechanic with a "can do"attitude that holds a CDL license. This person will be responsible of repairs on trucks, trailers and other vehicles.

Hours: Mon.- Fri. 10:00a-6:30p or Tues. - Fri. 10:00a - 6:30p, Sat. 7a-3:30p

Responsibilities:

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
• Repair, reline, replace & adjust brakes
• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors
• Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined & other potentially troublesome areas
• Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals & experience
• Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems.
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications & tune-ups
• Repair manual & automatic transmissions
• Replace & adjust headlights
• Complies with all safety, DOT & OSHA guidelines
• Adhere to company rules & regulations
• Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum three years recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience
• Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas.
• Must have own hand tools
• Basic computer skills
• CDL license REQUIRED
• Good driving record & proven work history
• Must be able to work in extreme heat & cold temperatures
• **DIAGNOSTIC EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS**
