        Advertised Job Summary
       
 
       
        Manages the Office of Research budget/accounts and is responsible for processing travel arrangements and documents for the Associate Dean and research faculty, and prepares payment requests, print requests, purchase orders/requisitions, supply orders, etc. for the Office of Research. Provides staff support to the Research Council and the Research Day Committee. Demonstrates skill in setting priorities and managing sensitive issues, as well as the ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects. Manages pilot monies awarded by the Office of Research for collaborative studies and internal projects and the CancerSurvivorship Center budget.
        
 
        
Promotes faculty development, implementation and dissemination of scholarship including 1) planning and coordination of mock reviews; 2) list serve/search engine/newsletter registration; 3) assumes primary planning and implementation leadership with annual faculty development programs such as research presentations or workshop.
 
        
Primary responsibility for Office of Research and the Cancer Survivorship Center web page development and maintenance and represents the office on committees associated with web page development and management.
 
        
Assumes primary responsibility for 1) updating Office of Research section in faculty and staff handbook and K drive; 2) updating and maintenance of Office of Research information manuals web formats; 3) updates and disseminates weekly newsletter to include funding opportunities, research announcements, conference opportunities; 4) updates web page Research Spotlight feature as needed; 5) assists Cancer Survivorship Center with annual report.
 
        
Provides technical and professional support to faculty in the pre-award development and submission of sponsored award applications. Interprets sponsor guidelines, policies and procedures to support CON faculty and research mission. Employee successfully guides principle investigators and keeps them informed of revision to sponsored awards guidelines, policies and procedures. Serves as the back-up liaison with the University’s Sponsored Awards Management Office.

        Minimum Qualifications
       
 
       
        Master’s degree and 2 years related program experience or a bachelor’s degree and 4 years related experience.

        Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Redcap, virtual meeting platforms, and Internet. Ability to plan, organize, and adhere to University and sponsor policies and procedures. Knowledgeable of research and human subjects laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and able to interpret and apply them accurately and effectively. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion related to highly confidential and sensitive sponsored award data; maintain effective working relationships; and use effective judgment and communication techniques.
