We are looking for an experienced Truss Designer to join our team. The Designer will be responsible for developing models and layouts for estimating, production, and ensuring that designs meet all applicable building codes and company standards. . Responsibilities:
· Excellent communication and customer service skills are required
· Design roof and floor trusses in MiTek engineering software, ensuring designs are accurate to customer specifications, production limitations or building plan modifications
· Ensure design(s) comply with all relevant building requirements and building codes
· Generate component documents for plant work orders, layout design(s) for final construction
A typical work week is 40-50 hours per week depending on workload. Office hours are Monday through Friday 7am to 4pm. Compensation is base salary with additional incentive pay based on sales. Experienced Truss designers typically enjoy a yearly salary in the range of $60,000 - $90,000 based on sales and performance. Additional benefits include vacation pay, health, vision, and dental insurance offered after 90 days.
