We are seeking to hire Dental Assistants, licensed or unlicensed, to join our supportive and friendly dental team at Mary’s Center’s Silver Spring site. The Dental Assistant is responsible for supporting the clinical staff in facilitating the treatment of patients, prepping dental instruments, and most importantly, following dental procedures and protocols. As a licensed Dental Assistant, there are additional responsibilities included, such as dental charting, taking x-rays, and collecting patient’s history of dental records.

All dental assistants will assist with various clinical and administrative functions from ensuring proper disposal of all contaminated materials to assisting with the transfer of patient data within electronic medical records.

As an FQHC, Mary’s Center has the unique opportunity to treat a diverse patient population in DC and Maryland, as well as the Medicaid/Medicare population. The dental team must be cognizant of the public health, social and economic factors which impact on the overall health, and more specifically the oral health of their patients. The ability to creatively solve problems and work collaboratively with other health care professionals from a variety of disciplines is an important part of this position.
