WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Payroll Auditor works under the supervision of the Payroll Audit Supervisor and performs payroll audits and quality control functions to ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and company policies. To perform this job successfully, each essential duty must be completed satisfactorily:

  • Ability to work with fully integrated electronic payroll processing system, including report/audit report writing
  • Work closely with field management team to communicate any audit related findings
  • Field incoming payroll phone calls and helps resolve team member pay issues associated with calls
  • Maintain audit results for tracking and retention purposes
  • Audit exceptions from the biometric timekeeping system
  • Conduct quality tests on accuracy of data entry into core payroll systems
  • Conduct audit functions for tax compliance, wage attachments, labor regulations, internal controls and pay policies
  • Establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with co-workers and PSSI team members; effectively communicates with management via verbal and written communications
  • Work harmoniously with persons assigned to assist in the payroll process
  • Assist with development of timelines for submission of source documents for monthly, quarterly, and annual audits
  • Conduct audit functions for core payroll system and weekly payroll
  • Utilize audit applications such as Tableau to evaluate raw data from core systems and communicates results to the Payroll Audit Supervisor
  • Other audits and duties as they arise


YOUR MUST HAVES:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, and outlook
  • 1-2 years of related office experience


WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

  • Associate degree or equivalent education and/or payroll experience
  • Customer Service (phone, email, and verbal)
  • Ability to pick up new tasks as assigned on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly as the company grows and policies and laws update
  • Self-starter with the ability to work as a team as well as independently
