Cook at Senior Center Job at Catholic Charities of Staten Island
The Senior Center Cook is responsible for all aspects of food service in a NYC Department for the Aging-funded Senior Center. Includes, but not limited to food storage, inventory, preparation, cooking, serving, documentation and cleanup with adherence to NYC DOHMH and NYC DFTA sanitation standards.
Must hold valid Food Protection Certificate and have at least two (2) years’ experience as a cook. Must be able to stand long hours and able to lift heavy objects.
Must complete CPR and AED training every two years.
Responsible for opening the facility daily (including lifting heavy gates).
Responsible for cleaning of all kitchen surfaces and appliances.
This is a full-time position. Schedule is generally 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday - Friday.
