The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is seeking a Contract Community Health Advocate to work within the COVID-19 Outreach division.
As a Community Health Advocate in the COVID-19 Outreach division you work directly with the community and underserved populations to identify and implement mitigation strategies for those at the highest risk of poor health outcomes of COVID-19. This position will assist with coordinating resources within the community for individuals, providing health intervention strategies, building community partnerships through targeted outreach, and providing direct education on the importance of vaccination and testing through face-to-face outreach opportunities such as vaccine clinics, canvassing, and tabling. Our Community Health Advocates are the front-line of the COVID-19 Outreach program and engaging the community to make Greene County a healthier place to live.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
- At least two years of college or vocational education in a Public Health Discipline or related field;
AND
- One year of related work experience;
- Directly related work experience can be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Licensing/Certification
- If operating a motor vehicle during the course of performing job duties, must possess a valid Driver's License, and provide required liability coverage.
