The Department of Developmental Services is looking for individuals with experience working with thedevelopmentally disabled community to fill aCommunity Program Specialist IV positionat our Headquarters in Sacramento.
Experience in the following areas will ensure success in this role:
- Required: Equivalent to graduation from college (supervisor or administrative experience in developmental disabilities may be substituted)
- Required: At least 4 years working in the field of developmental/mental disabilities
- Knowledge of the California developmental disabilities system and the service supports and needs of consumers
- · Knowledge of the rate structures, provider qualifications, knowledge of Medicaid funding requirements, Home and Community-Based Services rule as related to the developmental disabilities system
- Knowledge of state budgeting policies and procedures
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative and constructive working relationships with other agencies, stakeholders, and department staff
- Aboility to work with professional personnel in the field relating to coordinating and developing services for persons with developmental needs
- Analyze situations accurately and take effective action
