This position is a local hybrid schedule.
The hours are 12:30 PM - 9 PM ET Monday through Friday every week:

• On-site at the Matco headquarters on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday
• Work remotely from home on Monday & Friday

You will work to establish payment solutions for 1st party past due credit accounts through outbound and inbound customer call interactions via a dialer system at our call center in our corporate headquarters.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Receive inbound calls from and/or make outbound customer calls to Spanish (and English)-speaking customers regarding past due credit accounts via a dialer system.
• Speak fluent Spanish (Puerto Rican preferred)
• Effectively collect on secured installment loans
• Utilize effective verbal and/or written communications and influencing skills to determine reasons for delinquency, and to arrange for proper payment arrangements or settlements.
• Properly document collection actions and status of accounts utilizing the AS400 and Oracle system.
• Recommend electronic debit, credit, and check payments over the phone.
• Always maintain professional interaction with all Matco Tools personnel and customers.
• Maintain and enhance customer relationships while resolving past due accounts.
• Utilize excellent time management skills for your assigned work schedule, as well as handling call volume throughout your shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE

• 1+ years of collections experience required.
• Call center with dialer experience required.
• Bilingual - must be fluent in Spanish (interpret/document)
• Knowledge of collection laws preferred
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, persistent, and a skilled negotiator
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Must be able to carry out responsibilities with minimal direction and work well in a team environment.
• Must be able to work 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM Eastern Time
