ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Familiar with reading CAD Models, Datum Blueprints, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience of general CMM experience, within manufacturing field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of statistical tools/concepts
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control
- Knowledge Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Knowledge of coordinating measuring machines systems and function
- Programming Experience
- Familiarity with computers (ie Excel, Word)
- Manages the gauge calibration system
- Provides customer support to all MST customers.
- Controls nonconforming product and customer returns for Customer Supplied and purchased product for disposition.
- Dispositions held material including circulating necessary documents as required
- Will be require to create new programs for future models
- Develops and maintains drawing storage and retrieval system
- Assist in troubleshooting problems, developing new programs and procedures
- Can create training matrix to train and show progress of team
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The candidate selected will focus on the quality aspect of the product. This position will frequently interact with the customer and the candidate selected must be customer service driven. Proficient in using Microsoft office products to include spreadsheets is required. This position may also require occasional travel. The candidate must have the ability to learn and complete 6 months of training in Quality systems, blanking processes and material quality training.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A High School Diploma is required. 3-5 years of experience in the steel manufacturing and/or quality experience is required. A two (2) year technical degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to read and interpret documents such as, quality manuals, operational procedures, and work instructions. Must have the ability to write work instruction, process procedures, standards, routine reports and correspondence. Must also be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to use ten key calculators, perform data entry, and use various personal computer software (Microsoft Windows, Excel).
