Join a collaborative team to provide clinical insight for traumatized youth. We are a centralized facility with 11-12 child caseloads, a case manager with the same caseload, and an OT office on site!

We are Brandon, a boys’ Nonprofit Residential School providing exceptional stabilization, assessment, educational, residential, clinical and case management services. We help boys to know their past does not determine their futures.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy for boys ages 7-12 in residential and group home placement
• Provide clinical consultation for treatment team members and play an active role in the milieu.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans, and implement in compliance with agency regulations and policy
• Provide a safe, nurturing, caring atmosphere for youth
• Demonstrate an understanding of child development relevant to the age group of the residence worked in and implement interventions that promote development and are flexible to meet developmental expectations
• Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of family/kinship connections to youth in our residence and supports those connections by welcoming parents, relatives, and caregivers on visits and facilitating planned contacts with families in the program, the community, and the family/relative home
• Demonstrate an empathic understanding of the effects of complex trauma including abuse, loss, and neglect that youth bring to placement. Incorporating that understanding into interactions with youth and responding therapeutically to pain based behavior.
• Work as part of a team to identify youth needs and work collaboratively with team members to strategize therapeutic solutions to meet those needs

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in counseling/social work profession
• Experience in the Mental Health field is preferred
• Valid MA driver’s license
• Valid DEEC/CORI background check
