The Position:
We're looking for a passionate Clinical Career Development Coordinator RN to support the career advancement and technical education efforts of the organization and coordinates career development services. The CDC works collaboratively with administrators, human resources, educational institutions and their staff, and instructors to ensure a well-structured career development program. CDCs facilitate linkages with administrators, department managers, human resources, and educational institutions. Essential duties include:
- Coordinates trainings and nursing professional development programs for specialized nursing practice certifications, continuing education credits and courses, and enhancement of clinical and non-clinical skills in the skilled nursing and home and community-based services sectors.
- Coordination and/or Instruction for Workforce Development Programs
- Preceptor and Mentor Program Coordination and Instruction
- Practical Nursing Program Clinical Instruction
- Nurse Residency Program Coordination and Instruction
- Nurse Aide Training Program Coordination
Requirements:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing from accredited school of nursing or higher; Current Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of three (3) years as a registered nurse and/or practical nurse in acute/post-acute care, rehabilitative nursing, home health, or related setting required. Must have experience in supervision and the principles and practices of teaching. Experience in post-acute care settings preferred.
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
