The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, the Chief Data & Analytics Officer will be a critical member of the leadership team within BEACONS (R&D), which is comprised of four Teladoc Health departments in addition to Data and Analytics: Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Architecture. In this instrumental role you will be responsible for all key aspects of Teladoc Health’s data strategy, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI) and data science initiatives across all products and services. This will include AI investments that drive personalization, growth, operational scaling, insights and analytics for our members, providers and clients. Our team of data scientists aggregate and interpret substantial amounts of health data and information to create actionable, personalized, and timely health signals for our members. This approach delivers better clinical and financial outcomes while creating a different and better healthcare experience for people everywhere.

Responsibilities
Work with cross-functional partners and executives in product, engineering, clinical, operations, finance, and marketing to define and achieve business goals, and to build data-informed business strategy and roadmaps
Partner with executive leadership to develop strategic goals and direction needed to continuously enhance Teladoc’s products and services
Define and execute upon a machine learning and artificial intelligence strategy, as well as other innovative and next-generation analytics capabilities, to deliver improved clinical and operational outcomes; serve as a spokesperson for data science and advanced analytics
Build and lead a high-performing team (180+ today), helping to enhance their skills, while creating a fun and engaging culture that helps them prosper. Foster career growth and provide thoughtful mentorship to develop employees at varying levels of experience
Determine how to leverage data science, machine learning, and other analytical techniques to improve clinical product features and capabilities
Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of all data analytics and sciences initiatives
Establish a culture within your organization that normalizes sharing this data and making informed decisions on how to improve future business outcomes
Supervisory Responsibilities
Effectively lead and motivate direct and/or indirect reports (including cross-functional partners) engaged in data-driven functions including overseeing data management, creating data strategy, and improving data quality across the organization.
Candidate Profile
Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Finances, Computer Engineering, Statistics, or related field
Minimum of 15+ years’ of experience managing data science, analytics, and/or engineering professionals, with responsibilities that include day-to-day management, professional development, hiring and retention, and coaching and mentoring
Proven experience improving the efficiency of an analytics function and its effect on organizational performance
Experience building scalable data systems for real-world applications in consumer-tech, healthcare, or enterprise software
Having been part of a scaling team/business and experienced platform growth & scale
Broad hands-on experience with various data related tools and technologies such as relational databases, reporting solutions, data integration tools, data warehousing, data modeling and visualization, required
Demonstrated ability to work across product, engineering, and analytics teams to evaluate new ideas, discuss technical concepts, establish priorities and timelines, and make tradeoffs to remove roadblocks
Experience in healthcare technology and/or health policy, health economics, research or reimbursement preferred
Polished communication and engagement skills appropriate for all levels within the company
The base salary range for this position is $300,000 - $330,000 . In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU’s, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2022. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
