Certified Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient! Job at Alliance Healthcare Solutions
One of our major clients in Cleveland, OH is currently seeking Certified Pharmacy Technicians. These are full-time positions that will entail working in an inpatient pharmacy setting. Certified Pharmacy Technician Description:
- Supports pharmacy and pharmacist services by stocking, labeling, assembling, and filling medications or other tasks as permitted by the state board of pharmacy
- Update and maintain patient profile records as necessary according to state pharmacy regulations
- Responsible for entering new and refilling prescriptions, speaking with facilities regarding medication clarification, and consulting with Pharmacists about orders.
- Assisting with pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and keeping records under pharmacist supervision
Certified Pharmacy Technician Qualifications:
- Ohio Pharmacy Technician License required, PTCB or national certification REQUIRED
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician preferred (1-2 years)
- Preferred inpatient pharmacy experience (1+ years)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator
- A quick and independent learner
- Knowledge of Pharmacy law and medical terminology
- Successful completion of a pharmacy technician program
