Do you have a Flagger Card? DPI Staffing is partnering with a variety of clients in Portland metropolitan area. We are looking for Flaggers with equipment and the ability to drive to a great job! In this role you will take on duties such as traffic control while communicating with the team to ensure a safe work environment.
Job Summary:
In this role you will take on duties such as traffic control while communicating with the team to ensure a safe work environment.
Schedule:
- Work Hours: Will vary and flexibility is important
- Many are on call and as needed.
Compensation:
- $18.00 an hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Reliable transportation is necessary
- Duties to include but not limited to:
- Using hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites.
- Communicating with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane.
- Informing the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
- Standing is a must during the shift.
Qualifications/Education:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required
- Up to 2-5 month's related experience as Flagger
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
