The Youth Career Representative works with the Pre-Employment Transitional Services (Pre-ETS) team in order to deliver Pre-ETS programming to schools in the Merrimack Valley and North Shore area. They, along with the rest of the team, ensure quality student-centered curriculum planning and instruction. They develop good professional relationships with their teammates, students, teachers and other school representatives. Additionally, they ensure that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure familiarity and compliance with all regulations and requirements, state laws and guidelines, and CRC policies and procedures including required documentation such as progress summaries.
  • Create and implement assessment tools to determine students’ interests and goals. Collaborate with team to plan activities and workshops focused on Pre-ETS service components.
  • Develop formal connections with companies and employers in order create learning opportunities regarding employment, job skill development, career exploration, and hands on learning opportunities for students.
  • Develop formal connections with schools and other agencies in order to create learning opportunities specific to continuing education or working after graduation.
  • Position requires flexibility and ability to travel to multiple locations throughout the state.
  • Maintain daily progress notes and monthly progress notes on all program participants.
  • Perform all duties in a manner which demonstrates an awareness and respect for each individual’s legal, civic and human rights. Maintain and enforce the confidentiality of any information relating to individuals served.
  • Complete all mandatory trainings to ensure skill maintenance and development. This includes PAC, CPR and First Aid, trainings mandated by Fidelity House CRC, as well as other department and state agency required trainings and certifications.
  • Communicate with supervisor of any issues pertinent to the health and safety of the people served.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment by reporting issues to the proper personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Vocational Support Services.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field
  • Experience working with individuals with significant barriers to employment is preferred
  • Commensurate experience may be substituted for educational requirements
  • Computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and one year of driving experience
  • CPR/First Aid certified or must be certifiable
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
