The Business Development Manager will provide support for a range of key outreach functions for our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office. This position will contribute toward the census growth of the business through marketing and referral relationship building within Bergen, Essex, Morris, Passaic, and Union counties. This position reports directly to the Administrator of the Englewood Cliffs, NJ office.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, long lasting and positive referral relationships with the key decision makers within healthcare facilities, physician practices, hospitals, rehabs and nursing homes by providing a strong and continuous presence
- Establish and execute a comprehensive sales plan for each target account
- Define and achieve agreed upon sales targets on a periodical basis
- Gain an ongoing understanding of competitive activities, pricing and services
- Meet with families upon receiving the referral to review our services, sign consents, etc.
- Provide visibility for our company and services by participating in community programs, health fairs, support groups and similar community engagement opportunities
- Seek, develop, and participate in relationship building opportunities with a variety of aging care stakeholders in the community.
- Attend industry networking events and functions
- Create and carry out a specific sales and market development plan designed to meet/exceed company goals and objectives
- Document/track all sales-related activity within our CMR program and provide regular progress reports to management
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of and experience with the private duty/private pay home care in the North Jersey region
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
- Strong database management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, or related software.
Education and Experience:
- College degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of business development expertise in the private pay home care/long-term care sector
- Record of achievement in sales, marketing and business development.
Reports To:
- Senior Director/Administrator
Salary
- 65 - 75k, plus highly competitive commission
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
