Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an driven and skilled Bridge Engineer looking to take the next step in their career to join our team! In this role you will get to expand in your technical knowledge and professional experience within bridge engineering and work alongside a team of highly experienced engineers on major Minnesota State and Minneapolis area projects that have material impact on communities!
What You'll Be Doing:
Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products - defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status
Producing detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses
Supporting other engineering activities as necessary
Potentially supervising one or more more-junior engineers - providing input regarding performance
You may be assigned to a project or organizational team as a lead engineer for bridge work on small to intermediate projects
Advising input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level engineers working on the same project
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (or related field)
Typically 5+ years of related work experience
Professional Engineer (PE) License
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Experience on Major DOT projects
Local, relevant bridge structure design experience
