Senior iOS Developer

We are looking for a Senior iOS developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS devices including iPhones and iPads. Your focus will be on the development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other Spanish and English speaking engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure from the United States to Colombia. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of secure, quality products is essential.

Responsibilities

- Design and build applications for the iOS platform

- Ensure best practices for clean code and UI/UX design standards are observed and followed

- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

- Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features

- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

- Manage app releases via App Store Connect

- Be a primary contributor to code reviews via the PR process

- Mentor, coach, and pair with engineers

- Create and maintain application & system documentation

Proficiencies in…

- Swift programming language

- iOS frameworks such as CoreData, CloudKit, BackgroundTasks, NotificationCenter, UIKit, etc.

- Code versioning tools and source code repositories (Git preferred)

- The use of Scenes, Storyboards, and SwiftUI

- Native Cocoa Touch UI elements, such as Table View, Collection View, Activity View, Alerts, Segmented Controls, etc.

- The application of Singleton, Decorator, Adapter, Facade, Observer, Memento, and Factory design patterns

- The application and use of classes, inheritance, protocols, extensions, closures, etc.

- App and Data Security

- Extending, and customizing Cocoa Touch UI elements

Experience with…

- Implementing a Persistent Store Container / Controller

- Implementing a Fetched Results Controller

- Integrating RESTful JSON APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services

- Offline storage, threading, background processing, and performance tuning

- Performance and memory tuning with tools, including optimizations needed to minimize battery usage

- Implementation of a CoreData model, with entities, attributes, relationships, and fetch requests, with one or more configurations

Familiarity and understanding of…

- Functional (declarative) and imperative programming

- Cloud message APIs and push notifications

- DevOps practices

- Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines

QUALIFICATIONS

- A BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.

- iOS Certification(s) via accredited institutions

- 7+ years of professional iOS development

- 2+ years in a senior or lead iOS engineering role

- Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills (Bilingual strongly preferred)

- An app currently available in the App Store

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
