Duties/Responsibilities:
- Contributes to administration and analysis of benefit plans, well-being, and other programs.
- Analyze and compare vendor products, services and contracts. Support the vendor procurement and implementation with current knowledge of census data.
- Conducts audits of benefit invoices and payroll deductions to ensure the company's processes are compliant and minimize health insurance costs.
- Prepare monthly benefits plan financial reporting
- Support the projects managed though third party providers and consultants to manage eligibility, communication and reporting materials including all SPD and SBCs as applicable.
- Review benchmark studies and other research; provide value added analyses and summaries.
- Support benefit program implementations and annual processes, such as open enrollment, retirement, annual vendor renewals, request for proposals, compliance updates, and other projects as assigned.
- Collaborate in the management of compliance requirements including but not limited to 5500 reporting, non-discrimination testing, Medicare Part D filing, ACA fees and penalties, PCORI fees and SPD review.
- Collaborate in the building of education and training materials for the Field and Field Support Center staff on benefit plans and programs, policies and systems.
- Focus on enhancing communications to employees and management via internal mechanisms and leverage third party providers with the goal to increase member understanding and improve utilization.
- Support the integration of new acquisitions. Develop plan comparisons and model cost impact and identify potential risks.
- Identify, implement, and administer new reporting to support the business needs.
- Support implementation new systems and processes.
- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytic, quantitative, advance computer skills, especially with MS Excel.
- Detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills required
- Self-starter with a high level of persistence and strong results focus
- Excellent strategic planning skills, creative problem-solving capability, and project management skills.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience administering health benefits and retirement plans for larger multi-state, multi-group organization.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
