Barista/ Shift Lead Job at New City Microcreamery
Pay Rate $16 -$17.50 plus tips (Tips vary and generally add an extra $4-$10/hour to your pay each week)
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Supervising Front of House operations while on shift
- Opening/Closing the shop
- Register transactions/deposit handling
- Inventory
- Delegating necessary tasks to scoopers
- Scooping ice cream
- Making waffle cones
- Shop maintenance
- Restocking paper goods
- Restocking ice creams
- Barista assistance
- Engage guest by greeting them and making them feel welcome in our "home"- recognize first time guests & educating them about what we do/serve/who we are
- Model & share guest service best practices with all team members to deliver a pleasant & memorable guest experience.
- Implement company asset protection procedures to identify & minimize profit loss
- Recommend items for sale to guest (up-sell & add-on)

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be 18+
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights & weekends
- Solid customer service skills
- Responsible, dependable, honest
- Professional appearance
- Excellent verbal skills
- Ability to stand & walk for extended periods of time
- Must be fluent in reading, writing & speaking English
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
