JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs semiskilled work coordinating a variety of athletic programs, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Athletic Program Supervisor. This is a year-round part time position.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and oversees athletic programs.
- Prepares the facility or field for the program and ensures safety of the facility.
- Maintains athletic program records.
- Enforces departmental rules and regulations.
- Performs related tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
General knowledge of the equipment and techniques necessary to successfully conduct athletic programs; general knowledge of the methods involved in organizing, conducting, promoting and supervising athletic activities; some knowledge of first aid methods and necessary safety precautions to be used in recreation work; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, officials and the general public; ability to express ideas clearly both orally and in writing.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience organizing athletic leagues and programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver's license
Salary will be determined based on qualifications, internal equity, budget, and market consideration.
