Position Summary
The LSU Health School of Medicine Department of Interdisciplinary Oncology seeks an energetic and innovative executive leader to serve as the Associate Director (AD) of Population Health with the LSUHSC Cancer Center. The Associate Director must be an outstanding academic leader with a demonstrated sustained record of independent federal funding, high-impact publications, community-based research, and administrative domains. We are seeking a progressive and visionary leader to establish a program that will focus on identifying multi-level drivers of cancer risk, developing interventions to reduce cancer side effect burden and mitigate cancer within the catchment area, and improving cancer outcomes for survivors and their caregivers. A crosscutting focus of the work across these aims is advancing cancer health equity. The AD is also expected to foster transdisciplinary cancer research in areas of interest that align with the strategic growth of the population health program, including: cancer research related to population precision health, social determinates of health, dissemination and implementation science, health equity research, community-based research, early detection and screening, tele-health, health services research, symptom management, cancer control, and cancer survivorship research.
