Job Description
Job Summary
Support the department with tasks relating to the print activation process, with steps in place to learn and gain holistic viewpoint of the industry including competitive landscape, activation components and terminology, negotiation skills, digital, and best practices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The primary role for this position is to Issue to insertion orders for assigned client list.
Gain knowledge of terms and best practices relating to print strategy and activation.
Learn about negotiating to advance within department/company.
  • 50% - Administrative Task - Issue Insertion Orders; Enter into SBMS, Track receipt and confirm signatures, clear discrepancies for assigned accoiunts
  • 25% - Negotiation Task - Vendor Meetings – Guide employee through understanding of the industry landscape; learn terms relating to Print activation
  • 15% - Negotiation Task - Support team with miscellaneous tasks – issuing RFPs, positioning reports, collecting media kits, MRI runs; requesting specs for creative units
  • 5% - Administrative Task - Attend/Participate in internal training seminars including Media 101, Knowledge Café, and other offerings for entry level position through HMI or external resources
  • 5% - Negotiation Task - As employee gains experience, implement learnings with small scale negotiations

Knowledge and Skills Required
College education; Computer Skills: Excel proficient; ability to pick up other computer skills such as SBMS and client Extranet (does not need to know for hiring); PowerPoint a plus. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Willingness to engage in dialog with vendors and speak with people they have not met before. Strong Organizational skills and ability to multi-task across several accounts.

Salary Range
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00
