Minimum Experience/Education
Graduation from high school, or completion of its equivalency, and one year of office/clerical work experience; or an equivalent combination of training/experience.


Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
  • Previous administrative office experience
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Must have good communication, organizational skills, and
  • a professional appearance


Duties and Responsibilities
The Associate Vice Chancellor’s Office (AVC) of Human Resources/Talent Acquisition & Compliance is seeking a Receptionist to work on-site and in-person.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Greeting, referring, and assisting visitors
  • Answering the phone and emails, forwarding to appropriate units/individuals
  • Distribution of mail
  • Assisting with basic administrative functions of an office

Other Work/Responsibilities
  • Verification of new employee’s personal identification for the issuance of I-9s
  • File management and purging following State document retention and University archival policies
  • Providing additional administrative support to the AVC’s office as needed
