Job Summary:
Consider joining the Metal Exchange family as an Accounts Payable Coordinator in our Accounting division. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity insure the timely and accurate fulfillment of the financial obligations of the Company by entering daily financial transactions and communicating with internal and external sources.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Match invoice with inhouse documents.
  • Enter and code, if needed, invoices in multiple modules in accounting software.
  • Code and enter invoices in the general ledger, prepare payments, and filing of paid invoice packets electronically.
  • Identify transactions that do not comply with company policies and escalate to manager
  • Communicate with internal and external suppliers/customers
  • Communicate with team members as well as with other departments
  • Assist in month-end closing by making sure all transactions, in a given month, are entered into the system.
  • Other general accounting duties, as assigned.


Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Education
    • Required: High School Diploma
    • Desired: Associates Degree
  • Experience
    • 8-10 years, preferably in raw materials or freight

  • Solid computer entry and math skills
  • Ability to thrive as a motivated self-starter in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to effectively disseminate information clearly and concisely
  • Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
  • Attentive to details and follows through on assigned tasks and commitments
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, influence others and effect change
  • Strong communications skills; possess the highest level of integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Proficient in Adobe
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorships are not available
