We have a hardwood face veneer division, a hardwood plywood/plain slice division, and a specialty plywood division, all of which are supported by a dynamic administrative team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Support individual to be part of our fast-paced, highly motivated, growing team. You'll play an integral role in helping us make the best business decisions by developing relationships with our vendors and internal team so that we can continue winning in our industry. You will perform tasks such as researching and purchasing products and materials for multiple departments, supporting the accounting and finance team, and other administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities_ include but are not limited to:_

  • Develop profitable purchasing strategies including research of potential vendors, comparison and evaluation of offers
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices. Prepare purchase reports and cost analysis as needed.
  • Monitor and record stock and par levels to place orders as needed
  • Enter bills into Netsuite (ERP system) and/or SAP Concur (invoice management system)
  • Obtain and verify purchase order approvals for all departments, and help train and enforce purchasing policies
  • Match purchase orders to bills and verify complete documentation for A/P process
  • As needed, back-up the Accounts Payable Coordinator in processing bill payments and physical check handling
  • Manage credit card receipts and reporting to SAP Concur for the President, Vice President Rotary, and Vice President Plywood
  • Attend weekly Finance Team meetings
  • Additional administrative tasks include assistance in answering the main phone line and front door, potential grant writing opportunities for purchasing of equipment, and assisting the Executive Leadership (President, VPs, and CFO) with additional administrative tasks as needed
  • Perform other administrative and accounting duties as determined by overall company business needs

  • Excel at researching and can skillfully analyze market information to identify the most cost effective options
  • Are forward thinking, having the ability to accurately predict company needs and the impact of actions made within the supply chain
  • Act fast, making sound decisions to mitigate risks that arise, and developing contingency plans for future challenges

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years purchasing, administration, or customer service experience
  • Computer skills, including experience with ERP systems, MS Office products, and Google Suite
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
