About the team:

The Operations and People team supports the staff of BlueLabs, their work, and their clients. Ops and People at BlueLabs includes People Operations: supporting recruitment, onboarding, and the employee experience; Financial Operations: executing payroll, book-keeping, and financial planning; Technical Operations: supporting application access, asset management, and engineering and broader Operational Logistics support: coordinating with corporate counsel and supporting facilities operation.


About the role:

This position reports to the Director of Administration.


In this position you will:
.

  • Process vendor invoices
  • Create customer invoices
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Review and approve expense reports
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Review weekly timesheets
  • Implement accounting processes to ensure compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with Annual Budget preparation
  • Prepare AdHoc financial reports
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

What we are seeking:

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is able to manage sensitive information and has a genuine interest in accounting/ finance

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
  • Minimum of two years experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks

The salary for this position is $57,500 annually. BlueLabs has an office in Washington, DC, and while we would prefer candidates who are within a commutable distance to the office, we are open to considering candidates from within the U.S.
