- Maintains clear and up-to-date written lesson plans that align with grade-level standards and benchmarks.
- Commits to collaborating with colleagues for classroom & overall school improvement.
- Collaborates with grade level colleagues to support academic, behavioral, and social growth of grade level students.
- Conducts assigned activities from the administration in conformity with the approved policies of the Board of Education and State and Federal Law.
- Promotes and fosters a respectful classroom environment where a culture for learning is established and maintained.
- Establishes with students clear standards of conduct and upholds those standards subtly & proactively.
- Makes effective use of planning time. Observes designed working hours per the job assignment and uniqueness of each assignment.
- Coordinates knowledge of content, students & resources to design a series of learning experiences, differentiated where appropriate, that are likely to engage students in significant learning.
- Uses and leverages technological resources in order to obtain higher levels of student learning.
- Participates cooperatively with the principal in performance evaluations as stated in the corporation’s staff evaluation handbook.
- Supports and implements strategies that enhance student performance on local, state, and federal assessments.
- Performs other duties as assigned at the request of the superintendent, principal, or their designee.
- Communicates with all stakeholders in a positive, respectful, and constructive manner.
Qualifications:
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
- Certification or Licensure – Valid Indiana Teaching License.
- Middle School English/Language Arts or Elementary license
- Experience – Evidence of success in facilitating high levels of student learning.
- Knowledge – Understanding of collaborative learning teams, content & pedagogy, standards, formative and summative assessments, and ways to analyze data.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40,000.00 - $62,500.00 per year
