Hourly: $22.00 - $27.45 DOE

Location: Anaheim, CA

**Incumbent eligible for a $500 signing bonus payable after 6 months of continuous service **

Position Summary: The Yard Goat Operator will drive and maneuver yard goat and trailers from yard to dock switching out full trailers for empty trailers to keep production moving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Communicate using cellular telephone or 2-way radio with dispatch, operations, and plant personnel.
  • Drive and operate Yard Goat under 15 mph in and around the plant.
  • Storing equipment in safe areas.
  • Perform Pre and Post Trip Daily Checks.
  • Notify management of repairs that need to be made.
  • Conducts regular inspections of incoming and outgoing equipment.
  • Responsible for completing daily yard checks.
  • Must complete and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Mount and dismount the yard goat frequently and slide trailer tandems.
  • Ensure all trailers have chocks and jack stands.
  • Perform warehouse duties as required by management such as operating a forklift.
  • Enter data into computer systems regularly.
  • General
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
    • Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    • Regular and punctual attendance.

  • Must possess at least average math skills and basic computer skills.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • 6 months related experience preferred.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Forklift Certification required.
  • Warehouse experience preferred.

Language Skills: English is required, and the ability to speak Spanish is desirable
