The Connect Church is a non-denominational faith community in Pearland, TX. We are a church for all people, no matter who they are or where they come from. About the Position

• This is a full-time position and requires becoming a part of our church family.
• The worship pastor will also be part of The Connect Church’s leadership team.
• The worship pastor will participate in regular leadership and team meetings and training.

About You

You are a devoted Christ follower and you love to worship. But above al,l you love helping people know, love,e, and follow Jesus, and you use your musical gift as a tool to accomplish this goal.

You have solid experience in leading live worship and you have done so at a church of 500 people or more. You listen to a variety of music genres and are comfortable trying new things.

You like to have fun and enjoy giving people a great experience musically. You do not take yourself too seriously and you have a great sense of humor.

You are an excellent team player. You know what it means to run in your lane, but you are also capable and willing to step in wherever there’s a need because you understand that it’s not about the roles, but the goal.

You are a growing leader and have a track record of leading yourself well. You also have a history of leading and developing others around you. If you are married, your spouse must be excited about your ministry and be your biggest fan. Even better, you’re doing it together.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and directing all things worship at The Connect Church.
• Managing the schedule of vocalists and musicians for weekly worship services.
• Recruiting and training volunteers for the worship ministry, equipping them as necessary to serve on the team, and helping them be successful.
• Collaborating with other team leads on worship technology implementation and service design.
• Arranging and organizing the setlist for weekly services.
• Creating and maintaining a continuously growing and diverse music library.
• Serving as a creative voice by preparing written content, visual images, lighting design, and stage set-up for weekly worship services.
• Preparing lyrics slides and backgrounds for weekly worship sets.
• Shepherding and leading the worship team as a small group within the church.

Our Requirements

The following qualities are required of the worship leader:

• You have to be a devoted Christ follower.
• You have to believe in and subscribe to the vision and philosophy of The Connect Church.
• You have led worship at a church of 500 people or more.
• You possess good organizational and leadership skills.
• You are an excellent communicator and motivator, and you have excellent people skills.
• You are dependable, andconsistent and can hold yourself accountable.
• You have the drive to be successful in all you do and are committed to excellence.
• You should be proficient at playing a musical instrument.
• Preferably, you have some experience with Ableton (or any other DAW).
• If you have some experience with ProPresenter, that’s a plus.

Who You’ll Report To

The worship pastor reports to the lead pastor.
