Amerifab Inc. - A leader in the design, engineering, and manufacture of custom equipment for the steel industry, is seeking to hire an individual with Supervision experience in heavy equipment manufacturing.

This individual will be responsible for managing plant personnel in the layout, fitting, assembly, and welding of equipment while following safe work practices and welding procedures. In addition, this candidate will have an opportunity to be in a succession plan to replace the Plant Manager within 1-2 years.

Requirements/Job Duties:

· 3-to-5-year track record in heavy equipment manufacturing supervision, ability to read and interpret drawings, and a working knowledge of AWS and ASME welding codes is required.

· Safety & Environmental - Maintain a safe and environmentally correct workplace by enforcing the company and plant safety, environmental rules and policies, ensuring that associates are always wearing the required PPE, providing prompt and clear communications, providing training as needed and required, performing regular workplace audits, and involving all employees.

· Leading positive production outcomes by communicating job expectations, planning, and driving accountability.

· Assist Plant Manager with workforce planning and optimizing the flow of production processes, maintain safe and clean work environment.

· Coach and Develop associates to grow their skill sets.

· Maintain and improve upon training programs in conjunction with the Plant Manager to ensure that your team performs safely and efficiently.

· Exhibit servant leadership behavior with a “jump in and help” mindset – this is a working Supervisor role. Lead by example with a “can do” attitude.

· Proactively seeking opportunities for personal growth, development, and improvement.

· 4-year College accredited degree not required, but would be beneficial.

· Bilingual-Spanish is desirable.

• Monday thru Thursday -10-hour shift.
• Friday - Saturday OT as needed.

Supplemental pay types:
