Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor coordinates all activities of a warehouse or several functions of a warehouse, such as fleet management, receiving, shipping, and surplus property.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handles multiple projects to meet project deadlines and budgets
- Resolves conflicting demands of users
- Applies knowledge of supervisory practices and principles
- Applies knowledge of particular warehouse function(s), such as inventory management, scheduling, and distribution
- Measures employee results and initiates personnel actions
- Independently resolves daily warehouse issues
- Hires personnel and conducts performance evaluation of subordinates
- Plans daily/weekly demand for labor based on account activity and reports results to management
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong technical and supervisory skills to direct assist staff
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years in a warehouse lead or supervisory role
