Centerplate-the official hospitality partner proudly serving the Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium is currently seeking a Receiving Clerk.

The Receiving Clerk is an entry to mid-level position which requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in units of measurement and pack sizing, research skills, and computer skills. Primary responsibilities to include but not limited to collecting, receiving, and inputting invoices into back of house point of sale, monthly physical inventory input and review.
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for providing support to the Purchasing Director, Beverage Manager or other management personnel within the business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial accuracy of all invoices; verify information, process documentation and secure information in a designated area
  • The receiving specialist will input, record and consolidate invoices, maintain vendor data, assist in communications and receipt of any credits due from vendor.
  • Communicate invoice/ credit issues promptly to the Purchasing Director and Beverage Manager
  • Support department managers in managing target inventory levels and balancing the weekly purchase summaries; maintain records of inventory, invoices, etc., for all multiple departments
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required:

  • High school diploma, some college and/or appropriate combination of education and work experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.
  • 1 year of previous experience or exposure to accounting principles and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, exercising appropriate skills for effective judgment, creative problem solving and taking initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to deliver and interpret information across various sources.
  • Receiving, stocking, and stacking
  • Pulling, packing, and loading
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency

Preferred:

  • Continued Education in Business, Food and Beverage or a related field of study.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management; Ability to promote and participate in team environment concepts
  • Self-starter who can work independently and on several tasks/projects simultaneously, and who can contribute to functional areas of the business outside of the finance area.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.

**Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
