Job Summary
The Warehouse Delivery Clerk will receive, maintain and distribute University equipment, furniture, maintenance and janitorial supplies and other University-owned property as directed. Repair and maintain residence hall furniture and clean and organize the warehouse. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager within the Facilities department.

Essential Functions
  • Furnish, remove, re-arrange, replace and/or repair (when possible) student furniture.
  • Use power tools and hand tools to repair or assemble furniture.
  • Receive shipments of supplies and equipment. Notify end user and deliver supplies as required.
  • Deliver custodial supplies to residence halls and administrative departments.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with inventory control, including periodic inventory counts, data entry and coordinating the return of supplies to vendors. Process paperwork associated with receiving merchandise.
  • Assist with campus snow removal.


This position is considered essential personnel responding to emergencies and weather events.

This is a full time entry level position eligible for the full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid sick time, vacation, holiday, and personal leave, retirement contributions, and tuition remission.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm. With flexibility to cover evenings and weekends as needed and depending on the University schedule.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to drive a university vehicle and/or large box truck.
  • Some experience in warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with computer controlled purchasing, receiving and record keeping.
  • Ability to safely operate a variety of trucks, forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, etc.
  • Skilled use of power and hand tools with a high aptitude and ability to repair and/or assemble furniture.
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills in interaction with administration, parents, students and co-workers.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and adherence to all safety standards established by national agencies and the University.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete driver’s clearance process.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Ability to support the mission and values of a Catholic Jesuit education, as well as University goals for institutional diversity.


Work involves the regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, working in confined space, and lifting or carrying moderately heavy (20-50 pounds) items and occasionally very heavy (I 00 pounds or over) items. The work environment involves exposure to various elements such as chemicals, dust, fumes, cold, heat, noise, vibrations, or dampness, where work exposes the employee to potentially non-disabling injuries. Duties require that work be performed in adverse weather conditions. Work may require exposure to dangerous equipment and machinery . Work usually requires use of protective clothing or gear such as earplugs, hard hats, mask, gloves, insulated clothing, boots, coats, etc. Ability to work from ladders and scaffolding.
Preferred Qualifications
Vocational or technical training – skilled trades/handyman experience.
