In this full-time, year-round position, you'll support a residential HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) team by keeping our warehouse well stocked and well organized. You’ll also drive a company vehicle as you deliver project materials to job sites throughout the East Bay. And, when time, you’ll be given the opportunity to perform maintenance on our vehicle fleet or deliver them to the local mechanic as needed.

The right person for this position is someone who:

• Is a safe driver and hasn’t had a ticket or accident in the past five years

Eco Performance Builders is a licensed HVAC, General, and Insulation contracting company with headquarters in Concord, CA. We take pride in teaching on the job so everyone learns "the Eco Performance way.” The work you’ll do contributes to making homeowners more comfortable and healthier. We convert homes to all-electric from natural gas, and improve indoor air quality by installing high-efficiency heat pumps, ventilation systems, and HPHW (heat pump hot water) systems. REQUIREMENTS

• Reliable. You want a full-time job and are willing to show up every day by 6:30 a.m.
• A good driver of large vehicles: Clean CA driver's license record for the past 5 years, and you’re familiar with driving a box truck, Sprinter van, etc.
• Highly organized. You like it when your warehouse has “a place for everything and everything in its place.”
• Curious. You enjoy learning how things work and are smart enough to read the manual or look for solutions online first before asking others.
• Interested. You are interested in learning what we do and attend evening courses (that are free to you) in order to learn how to braise, solder, wire basic electrical, etc.; things most handy folks want to know anyhow.
• You like dogs and are not allergic to dogs since we often have dogs at the office.

Bonus points for:

• Having experience driving a big truck without any accidents or tickets.
• Has experience working on a wide variety of motors from two-stroke to trucks
• Having knowledge of hand and/or power tools.
• Living locally. We are moving to Walnut Creek and would prefer it if you live within 40 minutes of there.

Compensation: Starting out at $21.00-to-$24.00* per hour (*or more depending on your knowledge of motors.) This position offers 6 paid holidays in the first year, paid sick time, and medical benefits (50% toward Kaiser’s basic plan), plus 401(k) matching for retirement.
