Based at our headquarters in Hauppauge, NY, the Warehouse Operations Associate Assists with overall warehouse operations, planning, and daily activities, including receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation. Supports the planning of efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space. Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials. Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other databases to track, analyze, and report processes and performance. Reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Responsibilities and Duties
Work together with Warehouse Supervisor to make sure that warehouse operation and management is running smoothly
Help the Warehouse Supervisor in managing the warehouse(s), including running tasks that are given by the supervisor
Process inventory, as well as making the check, for delivery
Move and process materials and inventory
Prepare and process goods for shipping
Sort, choose, organize, manage, and store inventory according to proper location
Bar code scanning items
Package items and label supplies correctly
Report any missing or damaged inventory to the Warehouse Supervisor
Stack big bulk of items as well as organizing them
Remove inventory from shipping or trucks and deliver them to proper location
Update important documentation and logs for inventory processing and data accessing
Prepare inventory along with the documentation for audits
Operate heavy equipment or machinery, such as forklifts, to store or move inventory
Ability to be backup to Warehouse Supervisor if they are out of the office
Education/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Warehouse experience
Familiarity with ERP systems
Ability to comprehend computer systems and good computer skills
Ability to handle bulk product (40-50 lbs)
Physically able to move, sit, walk, squat, stand, and even climb during the shift
Comprehend and speak English
