Wardrobe Technician - Luxor Job at MGM Resorts International
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under general supervision the Wardrobe Technician will assist with the Wardrobe department operations and maintain a safe work environment during performances and rehearsals.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with ongoing Wardrobe Department operations to include sewing, fitting, alterations, painting, dying, wig styling and makeup
- Maintain, fit, inspect, adjust, build and repair costume pieces and accessories for the show to preserve the long-term integrity of the costume design
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures, participate in required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- A skill test will be administered
- Proficient in the use and maintenance of all technical Wardrobe machinery and equipment
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of theatrical Wardrobe experience on a large-scale production
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:
- Experience working in a similar theatrical setting
