Protects life and property by utilizing firefighting and rescue techniques; assist in fire investigations, fire prevention, and public education activities; provides emergency medical and rescue services to the public; maintains Departmental apparatus and buildings.
This program is for candidates who live outside the city limits but are trained in Firefighter I or Firefighter II certifications and/or has EMT or Paramedic.
The candidate must provide scheduled 24 hours of station coverage a month not including trainings or meetings; attend 50% of trainings and meeting per a month and complete all monthly assigned online training modules.
