Veterinary Technician Job at Highland Animal Hospital
Our clinic is seeking a professionally trained Veterinary Technician to join our team and support our highly qualified vets. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking care of our animal patients and will be working directly with the vets to provide ongoing treatment. The right candidate will have a passion for treating animals, work well as part of a team and have the ability to remain calm when animals are having accidents.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical exams, laboratory tests and medical procedures on animals.
- Provide initial medical care to sick or injured pets and other animals.
- Work in a controlled environment.
- Measure body temperature and pulse, and blood pressure of animals.
- Assist in surgery where sterile conditions are required.
- Assist veterinarians with operations on animals.
- Work under pressure until the task is done, even if it means working overtime.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
