VAMT- Lab/QC Technician Job at Inteplast Group
Description/Job Summary
Responsible for the accurate testing and analysis of all film products in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
Responsibilities/Duties
Test and analyze master roll film samples
Test and analyze film samples from both the primary and secondary slitters
Test and analyze film samples from the metalizing process
Test and analyze incoming raw materials
Special testing as requested by production, sales, marketing, or ViAm customers
Perform ISO/Food Safety audits as requested by QA Manager
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Function as a support/service entity for production
Maintain accurate and organized quality records
Perform routine calibration and maintenance of lab equipment
Storage and retrieval of all retained samples
Responsible for adhering to all safe work practices
Input data into Quality database
Maintain an effective dialog with production personnel
Report all non-conformities to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
Effective communication and transfer of information with QC counterparts
Responsible for the proper evaluation and grading of manufacturing products
Occasional fork lift duties in the movement and processing of non-conforming material
Complies with all SQF procedures
Reports any food safety problems to a member of management or SFQ Practitioner
Required Experience
A strong background in the field of chemistry
Proficient in MicroSoft Office applications
Required Education
Minimum of a two (2) year technical degree or equivalent lab experience in a manufacturing environment
Required Qualifications
Have the ability to analyze data
Consistency and meticulous attention to detail is necessary in providing both repeatability and reproducibity in testing
