Overview:
Programs and runs Tool Maker and other complimentary equipment. Supports production schedule within the fabrication department to meet customer requirements. Responsibilities:

Programs and runs Tool Maker and other complimentary equipment. Supports production schedule within the fabrication department to meet customer requirements.
- Operates and sets up Lathes, Mills, Grinders, and Jig borers to Fab parts, run other machinery to hit production targets.
- Ability to work to high tolerance as well as a wide range of part sizes and materials.
- Inspect and test products to verify conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instrument.
- Possess own Tools of the trade.
- Maximize production output with a high emphasis on quality.
- Aid in the monitoring the preventive maintenance schedule for the machines
- Interface with production lead & planner to ensure that machine workload is balanced to ensure maximum utilization.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Work activities include, working near to active machinery. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Able to lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 50 pounds.
Minimum Background, Experience, and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous background of 3-5 years programming experience as a Tool Maker/Machinist
- Experience with fabrication
- Strong desire to learn on the job.
- Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills
- Must be able to organize work to meet deadlines.
- Reliable attendance, good work ethic, high integrity, must be able to pass background check and drug test.
- Clean, presentable and professional appearance
- Mastercam / Solidworks, program experience is a plus.
- G-Code and M-code experience is a plus.
- Basic math skills
Must be able to work from:
- Fabrication requests/inbound work orders
- Nonconformance reports
- Able to read and interpret mechanical prints and GT&T.
- Understand metallurgy and H/T
- May create tooling aid and fixtures.
- Additional instructions and tasks as provided by the shop lead.
