We are currently seeking a full-time Therapist/Addiction Counselorto join our clinical team at our addiction treatment facility located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Our integrative approach combines evidence-based complementary therapies with traditional group and individual therapy to fully address client issues and provide a solid and personalized program of treatment and recovery.

The Freedom Center currently employs Addiction Counselors and Primary Therapists. The function of an Addiction Counselor and Primary Therapist is to provide both group and individual therapy, alongside documentation of these duties.

We are currently seeking to fill a Primary Therapist position. This is a full-time, in-person position. The hours are 9:00 am- 5:00 PM. Primary Therapists include LGSW, LCSW, LGPC, LCPC, LGADS, LCADS. The candidate should have strong experience and knowledge in the field of addiction.

We are ideally searching for someone who is licensed, but will consider a fully Certified Addiction Counselor (CSC or CAC).

***This is NOT a remote position, on-site presence is required.***

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• A fully Licensed Clinical Professional in possession of a valid Maryland license, such as LGSW, LCSW, LGPC, LCPC, LGADS, LCADS, preferred.
• Willing to consider professionals holding the following credentials: CSC or CAC with significant experience may be considered.
• Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorder Experience a MUST
• Documentation skills

EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a group facilitator/therapist in the addiction field would be preferred.

Please note compensation will vary depending on experience, education, and credential. Addiction Counselors will range from $45k-$60k, and Primary Therapists from $60k-$75k.
