Temporary Seasonal Exam Proctor
The British International School of Houston is seeking to hire seasonal temporary exam Proctors for intermittent work between the months of January 2023 and June 2023. The position is responsible for the administration of academic testing for international exam courses.
The position pays $11.00 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly basis.
Test administration and proctoring schedules are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Proctors will be expected to adhere to one of the three options listed below:
Monday through Friday
- Shift 1: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Shift 2: 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Shift 3: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
About the role
Test Proctors will be required to stand and walk for significant periods of time to actively monitor test takers. They will also be required to attend a training session conducted by the Exams Officer before proctoring any test. Test administration/proctoring a test includes verifying student identity, giving verbal general testing instructions, actively monitoring test takers, and ensuring security of test materials and passwords.

- Works well with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
- Must have effective organizational and time management skills.
