Job Description:
The OU College of Law has an opening for a temporary communications and events staff position. Located at the OU Law Center, this position will support the communications and events team by assisting with on-going projects and activities such as new website development, admissions marketing, creative social media calendar and content, script writing, newsletter layout and design, and event coordination.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Help generate engaging social media content and create social media reports.
  • Assist external affairs with engaging alumni through newsletters and events.
  • Provide administrative support for events, including registration, printing name tags, and “day-of” support.
  • Assist with press releases, media advisories, and student highlight stories.
  • Assist with website migration from current website to upcoming website.
  • Provide event photography for marketing and social media purposes.
  • Produce short videos for social media and events.
  • Help with CLE data entry.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s in communications, journalism, marketing or related field, or experience equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills: * Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines within a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Strong attention-to-detail skills in order to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Engaging and effective oral and written communication across multiple platforms and various audiences
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Provide creative solutions
  • Maintain a high-level of professionalism in writing and well-versed in AP.

Preferences * Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere

  • Video editing skills
  • Knowledge of email marketing systems, CMS, Salesforce, and/or Qualtrics
