Telehealth Technology Engineer Job at Connecticut Children's Medical Center
SUMMARY
The Telehealth Technology Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, automating and enhancing Connecticut Children's Virtual Health platform and strategy which is a multidisciplinary role encompassing telehealth, mobility, and audiovisual technologies. The Telehealth Technology Engineer will demonstrate a passion for examining cutting edge technology as well as experience designing, building and optimizing enterprise class mobility solutions, with an emphasis on end-user devices, mobile device management, mobile application management and automation / continuous build and deployment methodologies. Expertise with various technology disciplines such as audiovisual design / installation, telemedicine integration, networking and mobile application development are also a plus. A comprehensive understanding of Connecticut Children's business functions and ITIL process are necessary.
The Telehealth Technology Engineer must be able to look at complex business or engineering issues that may appear unsolvable and identify sticking points, whether they be technical, political or resource-based and solve for them. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for designing complex audio/video/control systems standards and ensure adoption enterprise wide.
- Support A/V systems integration with network components (wired and wireless) and collaboration systems (Zoom)
- Develop and manage operational and preventive maintenance checks for some telehealth technology systems
- Research, analyze, and recommend electronic systems improvements and enhancements for mobility, telehealth and/or audiovisual solutions
- Ability to create, read and utilize construction and engineering solution documents
- Perform networking troubleshooting to diagnose static and dynamic IPs
- Interface with manufacturers, developers, engineers, and project managers to provide resolutions for highly complex systems and to provide support and maintenance of mobility, telehealth and/or audiovisual solutions
- Develops collaborative working relationships with vendors and their support team, including contract negotiations, quotes, invoicing, incident resolution, and escalating issues that require immediate resolution
- Provide oversight over the development, upgrade, and repair of telehealth technology systems
- Provide technical support and training on mobility, telemedicine and audiovisual topics to associates as needed
- Assist with commissioning, training, close-out, and turning over final product to customers as directed
- Provide engineering support for conference rooms as needed
- Responsible for identifying defective or failed equipment and take ownership to resolution
- Accountable for all telehealth technology list of materials, quotes and invoices
- Provide responsible, timely, detailed status of assigned projects
- Define/adhere to IS standards, policies & procedures
- Ability to interact and effectively communicate with all levels of company personnel
- 2+ years of experience in related planning, analysis, configuration, installation, management and coordination work.
- Demonstrate experience working well with customers of varying levels of technical expertise in high pressure situations and complex environments.
- 2+ years of experience in audiovisual design and installation
- In-depth knowledge of Video conferencing technologies:
- Zoom Video Communications
- Demonstrate experience in managing projects.
